Highlights & Inclusions

Day 1: Arrive Christchurch
On arrival at Christchurch International Airport you will be met and transferred by private car and driver to your hotel.

Day 2: Discover Christchurch
Today explore the eclectic mix of new and old Christchurch on the “Hop on Hop off” bus. Take in the historic sights from the top deck of a double decker bus completely at your leisure.

Day 3: Christchurch – Franz Josef
This morning you will be transferred from your hotel to Christchurch Railway station. Board the TranzAlpine train which is one of the worlds great train journeys, along this journey you’ll see epic vistas, travel the edges of the ice-fed Waimakariri River, traverse the Southern Alps, and see miles of native beech forest.

Day 4: Franz Josef – Queenstown
Depart Glacier Country this morning, winding through lush rainforest and skirting the magnificent coast line before travelling over the Haast Pass. Travel past Lakes Wanaka and Hawea, travelling through fertile plains of Central Otago which are renowned for vineyards, orchards and some pretty special views of the surrounding mountains, before reaching Queenstown.

Day 5: Discover Queenstown
A full day at your leisure to explore the many sights and activities available in Queenstown.
Please refer to the activities page on our website, or page 17 of the brochure for a list of recommended Queenstown activities these are at your own expense and we recommend that you pre book to avoid disappointment.

Day 6:Milford Sound Excursion
A day trip to Milford Sound is a touring highlight. Enjoy beautiful scenery before arriving at Milford Sound, where you will join a cruise and enjoy lunch on this magnificent sound. On conclusion, travel back to Queenstown.

Day 7: Queenstown – Rotorua
Today seat on coach passengers will be transferred to Queenstown Airport, self drive passengers will drop their rental car off at Queenstown Airport. Fly from Queenstown to Rotorua (flights are not included and are at your own expense).
On arrival in Rotorua, seat on coach passengers will be transferred to your accommodation. Self drive passengers will collect their rental car.

Day 8: Discover Rotorua
Three iconic activities are included today, Te Puia Geothermal Reserve, where you will see boiling mud pools and steaming geysers, Rainbow Springs, to learn about our native flora and fauna and the opportunity to see our native bird, the Kiwi. Lastly a visit to the Agrodome to learn about our farming heritage, including an entertaining farm show.

This evening, enjoy a Maori Hangi & Cultural performance at Tamaki Village.

Day 9: Rotorua – Waitomo – Auckland
Depart Rotorua to Auckland through lush rolling farm land to the mystical Waitomo Glowworm Caves where a guided tour through the galleries and lofty chambers of the Caves awaits. Your tour culminates with a boat ride through the Glowworm Grotto – lit up by thousands of tiny little lights. Continue your journey through to Auckland.

Day 10: Depart Auckland
Self Drive | Return your rental car to Auckland Airport.
Seat on coach | Today you will be transferred from your hotel to Auckland Airport.
