Day 1: Arrive Christchurch
On arrival at Christchurch International Airport you will be met and transferred by private car and driver to your hotel.

Day 2: Discover Christchurch
Today explore the eclectic mix of new and old Christchurch on the “Hop on Hop Off” bus. Take in the historic sights from the top deck of a double decker bus and Hop On and Hop Off completely at your leisure.

Day 3: Christchurch – Mount Cook – Queenstown
Travel over the fertile Canterbury Plains and through Burkes Pass to arrive in the Mackenzie Country. With its golden tussocks, aqua lakes and southern alps. Make a visit to Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park where you may see the highest peak in New Zealand before making your way down the middle of the South Island and over the Lindis Pass to Queenstown.

Day 4: Milford Sound Excursion
A trip to Milford Sound is a touring highlight. Enjoy beautiful scenery before arriving at Milford Sound, where you will join a cruise and enjoy lunch on this magnificent sound. On conclusion travel back to Queenstown.

Day 5: Queenstown – Franz Josef
Journey through the rugged Kawarau Gorge and follow the shorelines of Lakes Hawea and Wanaka before reaching the Haast Pass. Travel through this beautiful pass before descending into the West Coast, follow the stunning rugged coastline before arriving at Franz Josef Glacier.

We highly recommend a scenic flight with snow landing or for the more active, perhaps a Heli Hike (own expense and pre booking recommended).

Day 6: Franz Josef – Greymouth
Travel north through farming communities to reach the seaside town of Hokitika. Follow the road between mountains and sea to Greymouth.

Board the Tranz Alpine train in Greymouth, one of the world’s great train journeys.

Along this journey you’ll see epic vistas, travel the edges of the ice-fed Waimakariri River, traverse the Southern Alps, and see miles of native beech forest.

On arrival in Christchurch you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 7: Depart Christchurch
Today you will be transferred from your hotel to Christchurch Airport
