Self Drive Holidays
For your next vacation with the family, maybe your honeymoon or anniversary, or you just want to get away from it all, why not consider self driving. New Zealand really does lend itself to touring by road, from the far north all the way to the deep south. Well sign-posted, our highways and motorways steer visitors through diverse and beautiful coastline, to awe-inspiring lake and river districts, magnificent forests and national parks, and glorious mountain regions. New Zealand is one of the world’s best self drive destinations. Outside of main city centres, traffic is light, the scenery is superb and most major destinations are within a day’s comfortable drive of each other.
Flexible Itineraries!
All of our self drive packages are fully flexible, from the date you travel to the accommodation you stay at, the activities and sightseeing you experience to your mode of transport. Our packages are ideal for Honeymooners, families and couples. We can match your interests, budget and time frame to find that perfect balance just for you - all the while backed by our specialist advice. You can mix your itinerary up - if you like elements of different packages, we'd be happy to combine these and provide you with a free tailor made proposal!
Package Inclusions
We don't believe in "hidden extras" so we've clearly detailed for each itinerary on our website what's included in your package price from activities and accommodation through to transport. All of our packages do come with a range of activities and sightseeing included, but these can be altered to suit your interests or budget.
Extend Your Stay
We hope that you will take the opportunity to stay an extra night or two in the gateway cities, either at the beginning or end of your holiday. We especially recommend this for travellers who may be arriving off long-haul flights. An extra day or two will certainly help you in getting over any jet lag and will help to relax and refresh before setting off on your journey around New Zealand.
Accommodation & Rental Car Choices
We realise that every traveller is different and has different requirements, which is why we offer a choice of accommodation options, to suit your budget!
Superior (4 to 4.5 star)
The Superior range of accommodation, consistently achieves high quality levels with a wide range of facilities and services.
Standard (3 to 3.5 star)
The Standard range of accommodation, provides a range of facilities and services and achieves good to very good quality standards.
Rental Cars
Rental cars come in all sizes. If you need something small for getting around town then sub-compact and compact rental cars are ideal. For the open road you might appreciate the extra room and power of full size cars and wagons. And if you need room for the whole family there is a range of 4WD and minivan options available....the choice is yours!
